CD has a few hairlines.
Amadán is a Dutch/Irish folk band founded in 1993 with the brothers Robert and Bert Pfeiffer and the Irishman Mark Gilligan in the original line-up. The band wants to be a fresh addition to the series of already existing bands that are involved in Irish music in the Netherlands. While the foundation took place in an Amsterdam café, the field of activity was soon shifted to the whole of the Netherlands, later also to Belgium, Germany and Scandinavia. At the beginning of 2000 the band is enriched with bassist Erik van Loo. The band is named after Zelda Hall and the term Amadán is Gaelic for "fool", "crazy". And the masculine form of it.
